10 Benefits of Facebook for Business

Facebook is the number #1 social media tool used by businesses. With more than 2.01 billion active users every month, it is not difficult to imagine why many businesses, both small and large, have chosen to use Facebook as a way to interact with their customers. If you are still looking at a Facebook page or are unsure how to use your business site effectively, we’ve rounded up some of the key ways that Facebook helps your business to start reaping the benefits of social media.

Top 10 Benefits of a Facebook Business Page

Build Long-Term Relationships

1. Build Long-Term Relationships

Facebook pages are a great way to integrate information and interact with your customers on a one-to-one basis. Unlike fast-paced formats like Twitter, or feature-oriented ones like Instagram, Facebook gives you a place to create a long, interactive environment where you or your social media staff can truly interact with your customers.

2. Gather More Leads

Having people like your page is not enough to provide you with a long-term sustainable business. Surely you can make a living in the short term simply by using their Facebook page.

But what happens if Facebook disappears one day?

If you have not made a connection with your followers outside of Facebook, then you will be in trouble.

That’s why smart companies gather potential customers in the form of email addresses, so they can contact their community outside of Facebook.

Most do it through contests, gifts, and newsletters, and it is a proven system.

But you should also be careful about how you use your leads.

For example, don’t hit fans with daily emails that sell affiliate products and other junk, unless that’s what they signed up for.

Send them by email once or twice a week with useful information that also takes them to your website, where they will hopefully become customers.

3. Lower Your Marketing Expenses

Regardless of whether your business is just starting, or if you have a respectable or substantial follow-up of loyal customers, a Facebook page is still free to set up, which makes it an excellent low-cost marketing strategy.

4. Reach a Targeted Audience

This is transferred from # 3 and is very important.

The fact that there are 1.19 billion Facebook users, does not mean that everyone wants to do what I like on your page.

I don’t want everyone to like my page, because only a small percentage of them would interact with my posts.

As shown in my previous example, I was able to get low-cost likes by targeting my ads

I targeted people who were already interested in Bigfoot, almost guaranteeing that many of them will like my page.

The same is true for your page and business.

If you are a local company, direct your ads to target customers within 10 to 15 miles. Ads may cost you more, but I like them and potential customers are led by laser.

If you publish an ad on television, during a “Seinfeld” broadcast, it would be difficult to know for sure if your ad is aimed at the right people for your business.

With Facebook ads, you can be sure if you target the ad correctly.

5.Increase Your Web Traffic

5.Increase Your Web Traffic

There are many ways to generate traffic to your company’s website through Facebook. From ads that direct traffic to landing pages, to linking your blog posts and even putting a link to your website in the “About” section, your Facebook page can serve as a funnel for potential customers who want to get more information about your business.

6.Spy on Your Competition!

A new interesting feature on Facebook pages allows companies to spy on competitors.

Now, this does not mean that you can look over your shoulders and see the sales or results of your ads, but it is a great way to see how others in your area and niche are growing on Facebook.

Just above your cover photo, you should see something like the image below:

Facebook pages to see and spy on

Click on “+ Add 5 pages” and you will be taken to a lightbox. I did it through the local commercial page of Hornets’ Nest, my wife’s bakery business:

Facebook pages to see

Facebook makes suggestions based on competition in my area in my (or similar) niche. I choose those pages by clicking “View page” or looking for pages in the search box.

Facebook allows you to select more than 5 if you wish, and it should look like this when you’re done:

spy pages to see on facebook

After clicking “Done”, the original image shown above your cover photo is replaced with a box that shows the likes of competitor pages and how much that count has increased this week:

pages to see in Facebook results

Why is this useful?

If you look at the pages to see and see that one page has exploded and won many new likes, you can visit that page to see what they are doing correctly.

Maybe a post was a great success and you can copy what they are doing on your page to get more likes.

This may not give you much information, but sometimes just a little motivation can break bad habits on Facebook and improve your publication and advertising.

After all, no company wants a competitor to beat them like!

Word-of-Mouth Marketing

7.Word-of-Mouth Marketing |Benefits of Facebook for Business

Sharing pages and publications (also known as word of mouth marketing) on Facebook is extremely easy for all users. While the fact that you like and comment directly on the content can often boost much of your business, the innate usability of Facebook allows everyone who sees your posts to easily share your content with those who think they will be interested (marketing word of mouth) Sometimes, contests or other strategies can be implemented to convince its users to also share their content, although the incentives are never as effective as providing high-quality content that is identifiable to your audience. 8. Keep Up with Trends and Best Practices

By linking blog posts to your page, or by anchoring the most important success of each week in your timeline, you can initiate conversations between your clients and followers and learn their opinions on important topics, such as changes in the industry, trending topics, brand alterations or best practices.

9.Create Mobile Content|Benefits of Facebook for Business

80% of social media time is spent on a mobile device (Source: Impact). This means that your Facebook page and your ads are seen more frequently on your customers’ phones or tablets, and should be easily accessible in those formats. This also means that having a Facebook page is crucial for your mobile marketing content, especially when you cannot optimize the mobile operation of your website or create emails suitable for mobile devices. Users are less likely to spend time playing with an email or website in desktop format on their phone than opening Facebook and using their business page to find the information they need

10. Share a Holistic View of Your Business

Even if your website is well designed and easily navigable, there is nothing like a Facebook page to offer customers a quick and complete view of their hours of operation, policies, offers and brand culture. On a website, these things may be present but still require some time to get involved with customers; On Facebook, which has the built-in advantage of using a format that is familiar to all its users from generation to generation, users and visitors of the page can easily access all the information they want and need at once.
